Accessibility statement

Prepared 29 September 2026. Next review by 31 March 2027.

We want everyone who works with medical and wellness brands to be able to use curoform.com, including people with disabilities and people who use assistive technology.

Our target

We build and test the site against the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2, Level AA. That also covers WCAG 2.1 AA and the European standard EN 301 549. The site partly meets this target today. The known gaps are listed below, and we're working through them.

What we do

  • Build pages with meaningful headings, page regions, a skip link and a clear page title.
  • Make every link, button, menu and form field work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
  • Label every form field, mark required fields in text, and explain errors in text next to the field and in a summary.
  • Give meaningful product photos text alternatives.
  • Stop animations when your device is set to reduce motion.
  • Keep pages readable when you zoom to 200% or view them on a narrow screen.
  • Check the site with automated tools and by hand before we publish changes, and fix what we find.
  • Never use an accessibility overlay or plug-in in place of fixing the site itself.

Known limitations

  • Moving gold accents. Some gold headings and buttons play a short shimmer that repeats and has no pause control. Setting your device to reduce motion turns it off.
  • Small labels. Some form labels and footer text use small capital letters that can be hard to read. Browser zoom enlarges them.
  • Small links. Some navigation and footer links have small click areas. They meet the WCAG 2.2 minimum through spacing but are smaller than we'd like.
  • Screen reader testing. We have not yet tested with NVDA or JAWS on Windows, or in Windows high contrast mode.

If any of these gets in your way, email us and we'll help you directly.

How we tested

Our last review was on 29 September 2026, using axe-core automated checks on every page at phone and desktop widths, keyboard-only use, 320 pixel wide reflow, contrast measurements and reduced motion settings, in Chrome on macOS. We plan to add VoiceOver with Safari and NVDA with Firefox.

The site is designed to work in current versions of Chrome, Safari, Firefox and Edge, with or without JavaScript for reading pages. The contact form works without JavaScript too.

Cookie banner and cookie settings

The cookie banner uses vanilla-cookieconsent 3.1.0. We host it ourselves and adjusted it for accessibility.

  • Where it appears. A box in the lower left corner of the first page you open. It does not cover the main heading or the menu, and focused page content scrolls clear of it.
  • Screen readers. The banner is a labeled region ("Cookie choices"), not a modal dialog. The rest of the page stays readable, and you can reach the banner from your screen reader's landmarks list.
  • Focus on load. We do not move focus when the page loads. The first press of Tab lands on the banner: the Cookie Policy link, then Accept all, Reject all and Manage choices.
  • Keyboard. Every control works with Tab, Shift+Tab, Enter and Space. The banner does not hold your focus: Tab and Shift+Tab move past it into the rest of the page, and you can use the site without choosing. One keystroke on Accept all or Reject all closes the banner.
  • Equal choices. Accept all and Reject all have the same size, style and weight, side by side. Nothing is pre-ticked.
  • Cookie settings panel. You can open it from Manage choices or from the Cookie settings link at the bottom of every page. It works as a dialog: focus moves into it, Tab stays inside it, and Escape closes it. Each category has a labeled switch with a 26 by 26 pixel target. If your browser sends Global Privacy Control, the marketing switch is off and locked, and a note explains why.
  • Visible focus and contrast. Every control shows a 2 pixel focus outline. Buttons are at least 44 pixels tall. Text and buttons use the site's colors, which meet WCAG 2.2 AA contrast.
  • No time limits. The banner never closes on its own.
  • Without JavaScript. No banner shows and no optional tool runs. The Cookie Policy page says so.

Found a problem with the banner? Email hello@curoform.com and we will fix it or take your choice by email.
